SCREW AMERICA

salam,
it's been a while,
i just had my Calculus and English final exam.
and to be frank, i screwed up.
TAWAKAL :(

okey , back to the main idea of writing this.
i'll cut the story short, btw.

last few days, while i was walking back to my room from Roswell, i met my Malay karate-mate. she was talking to her male friends in front of her block. i said hi to her, and with the sense of courtesy, she introduced me to her friends. i said hi and joined the conversation they were having.

then, their another male malay friend came and said hi.
he offered a hand shake to each of us.
sense of courtesy
but obviously, i can't shake hands with him, right ?
so i just put my hands together in front of my face and replied his hi in a polite way.

then he went ;
" oh gosh ! i'm sorry ! i'm from America ! "
and then, his friend supported him by saying ;
"yea, the culture there is different"
and i said ; " yea , i do understand. don't worry "
i smiled, finished my conversation with my female karate-mate, and i bid them goodnight.

so , along the way, i'd been thinking about those two highlighted sentence.
"sorry, I'm from America"
well, so what with America ?!
i don't feel sorry that you are from America.
because i don't blame America.
yet i dont blame you either.
i dont know who to blame.
your parents? your teachers?

okey, screw the blaming thingy.

the main question here is,
why do we have to put the blame onto others ?
or other countries (in this case)?

remember the lyric in the song, awaken by maher zain?
"yes it's easy to blame everything on the west,
when in fact, all focus should be on our self "

as long as we have a strong faith,
as long as we hold the principles the Prophet had taught us,
we wont go astray, right ?
because Islam can be practiced anywhere
(even in America!)

we learnt the rights and wrongs ,
the dos' and don'ts'.
so it's about how we apply the knowledge.
knowing is just not enough.

and i even wonder ,
who will i be when i further my studies in America?
(insyaAllah)
will i be like him, the I'm-from-America-guy ?
or
will i be even better in finding His blessings ?
seriously, i have no idea.

LET FATE FAIRS ME BETTER
ameen <3

p/s: sorry for the long post.
i did cut the story short , i swear !

and btw, let's be optimist on this malay-American guy.
he might be better than you in the future.
let fate fairs him better

wallahualam

QUESTION MARK ( ? )

salam'alaik ,

while having a shower just now, a question crossed my mind.

how can a person who is new to Islam , or in other word, Mu'allaf, can do da'wah successfully and straight away convert thousands of non-Muslims into Islam ? and indirectly strengthen our ummah population?

while hundreds of our ulama' (who are Muslims ever since they were born) keep on giving religious talks here and there, but hardly convert non-Muslims into Islam. well, not just that, even our own ummah's faith is not so strong that there are so many misbehavior cases keep on going on around us.
broken and almost unstoppable.

for the time being, i don't have the perfect and exact answer.
or maybe the question itself is wrong.
do correct me , will ya ?

so my assumption is ;
the Mu'llafs understand the contents of the Holy Quran , that they can explain it to the others.pop question marks in people'S head. a heart to heart conversation. they think and  they understand it so deep, that no one can shake their faith no matter how hard the questions thrown by the others. they master the core of the holy Quran. and, they feel the existence of Him while going through the verses in the holy book.
PURE FAITH
(camna nk explain ntah=_=')

tajweed and taranum wont matter much !
but those are the things that were being stressed on while i was having my religious classes back then.
i blame the education system. ngaa~

so, people, let's not just read the holy book.
FEEL it.
UNDERSTAND it.
LEARN it.
and
PRACTICE it.

wallahualam.

p/s: i havent finish thinking. i'll edit later. insyaAllah :)

AND P/S: I DONT MEAN TO CRITIC OUR OWN ULAMA'.

AND !, i write this for myself. sebab saya pun 2x5 ja -__-'

EASIER SAID THAN DONE

assalam.
well, i am so not in mood to study right now, so, do wait patiently my dear calculus! :(

i haven't finish my story about the Uganda man actually.
so i call this; the sequel of my previous post, RAPHAEL NYARWE :)

after having days of conversation in Facebook,
and after a long post debating on this and that regarding Islam and Christianity,
(which i was feeling quite proud  that i was doing da'wah to the non-muslim !)
KONONNYA LA
suddenly, he said something that i will never forget.
"do you know the reason i talked to you in the library a few days ago ?
because you are unique.

usually, ladies in hijab don't talk to men".

DANG !
da'wah, huh ? on your face, zara =__='

and the rest is history.

so, my opinion here is ;
sometimes people forget.
they think they'd showed perfect examples to the others,
to the non-muslims.
but they don't realize that they are not doing it correctly.
or should i say,
EASIER SAID THAN DONE ???

p/s: i admit, i'd prefer to befriend guys compared to gals.
it's not a good mindset after all.

so dear readers,
do pray for me.
for me to be better.
A BETTER MUSLIMAH
ameen <3

calculus's calling ! adios :)

WILD EYES

assalam,

well, this is a sequel of my previous post, A PAIR OF SOCKS.
i'll make it short, InsyaAllah.

i'm pleased to share my interesting conversation with 2 of my nice male friends here in INTI IU that we had just now. we were having our lunch together, and suddenly, they talked about girls!
RANDOM.

to be short , they said ;
1. KAKI PEREMPUAN merupakan body part yang paling LAWA . KELEMBUTAN , kata mereka.
2. LADIES IN PINK boleh buat lelaki TERANSANG.
KECOMELAN , kata mereka.
3. KULIT PEREMPUAN buat lelaki GERAM
KEGEBUAN , kata mereka.
and i can't remember the rest.

what i'm trying to say here is ,
 there are so many wild eyes out there. save yourself from being a victim.

 p/s: one of em stressed on the girls' feet, or legs for those who wear hot pants. they just love to look at em.

GERAM,

kata mereka.

thanks barney !
and yeah, true story indeed.

RAPHAEL NYARWE

bismillah,

living among the Malays for 2 years of high school was pretty comfy. the common in language. the common in lifestyle. especially when we live in hostel. or boarding school in general. the common in religion. so on and so forth.

when i enrolled in INTI IU, i was culture shocked. not that much, just a bit. the people, the absence of rules and regulations, the food, the ways to dress up, etc. most of em are Chinese. and international students. they don't speak Malay, obviously. so i had to converse in English no matter how reluctant i were.

well, that don't matter much.

i met this guy from Uganda. i was doing calculus in the library, alone. then he came and sit in front of me. he said hye, and asked my name. we had a bit of chit chat. (and yes, he was a complete stranger).

then he asked me, why do you wear a hijab ?
i said, because i'm a muslim.
he asked, then why do i see some other muslim who dont wear hijab ?
i was speechless. and the rest is history.

extracting some of my conversation with this Christian, i remembered saying ; Islam is not just about wearing a hijab. its about how you practice what the Prophet had taught us.
AS A WHOLE.
(i wish i had my mirror in front of me while saying that !)

for example. we do wear 'hijab'. but the breast shape can still be seen by the others. and the neck , not forgotten. well, that's not hijab. the word 'hijab' itself means cover. completely. so that there's no one can see what's underneath. if you wear a hijab, but the shadow of your ponytail and neck can still be seen, why don't you just show off your hair, instead of wearing hijab for nothing ?

there's no such thing as DOSA BANYAK and DOSA SIKIT. it's either DOSA or PAHALA

there's no difference between wearing a hijab with your breasts popped out , and the shadow of your ponytail or your long neck can still be seen, and not wearing hijab at all.
*bear that in your mind, zara*

if you love to wear shawls, please do. but, wear it properly. cover your assets. it's not free !

tips: if you wanna know whether your are wearing it right or not, ask yourself ; 'is it possible for me to just wear this and perform my prayer ?' the honesty in you will answer it InsyaAllah.

p/s: im not PERFECT. im trying hard to CHANGE. to be BETTER. let's do it TOGETHER :)

may Allah bless us all. assalam :)

SMOKING LADIES ?

girls who smoke are not cool at all, I SWEAR !

but what about those guys who smoke ?

DAMN IT !

it's not about gender. hell no.

it's about the habit of smoking itself.

 the CIGARETTE itself.

in Islam, anything that can cause HARM, is PROHIBITED.be it on health or on whatsoever (sorry, i cant think of anything at all).we cant take drugs because it can make us lose our mind (sorry for not being specific). we cant consume alcohol because it can make us drunk (sorry for not being scientific).

it's all stated in the Holy Quran !

so the equations here are ;
DRUGS=HARMFUL=HARAM
ALCOHOL=HARMFUL=HARAM
therefore ,

CIGARETTE=HARMFUL=HARAM

I've been wondering , why do people smoke while they know the effects of doing it ?i just cant understand. and guess what,
EVEN PAKCIKPAKCIK IMAM KAT SURAU PUN MEROKOK JUGAK !

what i wanna say here is;

people DO read Quran (khatam bagai)(and merdu bukan main), but most of em never apply what they read. and sadly, im one of em.

well, it's never too late to make a change , buddy :)

p/s: i've got a mirror in front of me while typing this. let's make a change together!

and p/s: i don't smoke =___='

A PAIR OF SOCKS

"nahh~ it's not a big deal. it's just a pair of socks, man!"

well it IS a big deal !
'graduating' from MJSC Taiping which requires us to wear socks (for the girls of course) made me think of the option of wearing and not wearing socks in INTI IU now. when we were in high school, we had to wear socks all the time. and honestly, i wore socks for the sake of the schools' rule. we had usrah sessions every Friday, and the significance of wearing socks or should i say, COVERING THE AURAH was being stressed by the teachers, seniors, and even our 'alim peers over and over. we even learnt in Pendidikan Islam that it is compulsory for us, the ladies, to cover up our body.

showing the inefficiency of the education system in Malaysia, most of the students didnt apply what they had learnt in those subjects taught in school. sadly, i myself, screwed up most of the stuff i learnt!

yes, i do wear socks during my high school times. but once i stepped in INTI IU, i lost em. culture shock i guess. i took it off because i was like "hell jyeah!im in university now! who cares!mind your own business,buddy!". there's no rules and restrictions on our daily attire here in INTI. plus, it's burdensome to wear socks whenever i wanna go out. i just slipped into my slippers when i go to class. easy and carefree.

but, think twice darling !
it's for the sake of Him. and it's for the sake of your own safety, obviously ! not for the rules. OBLIGATION. some people need explanations behind the need of covering our aurah. well, what my mother taught me was that it is to prevent us, the precious Muslim ladies, from getting into problems such as zina or being a rape victim for example. logically, ladies in purdah is unlikely to be a rape victim isn't it ? because wild eyes out there cant penetrate through the shapeless (shapeless?) figure of their PURDAH (i mean, the whole black cloth from bottom to top).
Islam is a protector.so, why bother being carefree wearing slippers WITHOUT SOCKS (which is the opposite of what the Prophet had taught us) while actually there are many bad asses out there who keep on looking at your beautiful, smooth feet and wait for the perfect time to rape you ?(well, link the 2 situations there yourself, please)

looking at my beautiful feet which i'm pretty sure that men out there will long for it,
i turned back, and i put my socks on , Alhamdulillah :)
so my dear friends, PUT YOUR SOCKS ON ! keep those pretty feet for your husband. make it special  :)

p/s: never let the guys masturbate when they look at you :)
and sorry for the lame vocab i used , i'm not good in bombastic words.

assalam

GENG MEJA BATU

assalam :)
well, this is the only picture that i have with my Bassyirah. pretty isnt it ? thank you :)
we've been close ever since i was dragged into a massive crisis with so many plot twists that we never know which one was real and which one was fake. COMPLICATED.
but those are history.
we learnt the definition of LIFE together.
we learnt to differentiate between real and fake together (and made fun of it off course).
we learnt the meaning of TRUE FRIENDS together.
and the most important thing is, WE GROW UP. together.

there were 7 of us, sitting around the stone table :
ME (ZARA)
BASSYIRAH
ZULFAZRIQ
FARID
UDIN
LUQMANULHAKIM
SHAFIQ

people were mad as us , people mocked us, people said bad things behind us, people hate us.
but we never regret because we know that WE HAVE EACH OTHER. we were strong because we leaned on each other. we supported each other. we were there for each other through thick and thin (the thin part was hell fun! and the thick part was so sweet!) .
FRIEND is a heavy word. some just like to have so many of them. QUANTITY. but i'd prefer the QUALITY. people passed by. they are not FRIENDS. they are STRANGERS. but people who stick with us no matter how long the drama goes, that's what i call FRIENDS. not to define. but just the surface.
i wish to say more. but CALCULUS awaits. catch up later :)

p/s: teringat time buka puasa kat mejabatu :) LOL !

THE NEWLY-BORN BLOG ! (try to say it fast XD)

wow. i have a blog. i repeat, I HAVE A BLOG ! haha. u must be wondering why i am so excited about having a lame, new blog-site isnt it? well, fyi, this is beyond my nature . seriously.i never keep diaries. i  never write my thoughts out. and i even told my friends that i will never be a blogger. ergh ! i ended up being one after some self-persuasion. Humaira Nizman must be proud of me having this :D well, after having some classes with my ENL101 lecturer, Prof.Dr.Lim Ho Peng, i managed to crack my coconut shell that had been surrounded me for 17 years, just a bit i guess. so, the purpose of me having this blog is to share my opinions, my thoughts, and may be spill my heart out here sometimes.or should i say, to rant.. well, Dr. Lim asked us all to write a diary. so, this is it. THE DIARY. and i call it THE SILENT RANTS. (u don't say ?!=_=') so, we'll catch-up later, i have hell lots of things to rant on :) standby, peeps !
