salam,
it's been a while,
i just had my Calculus and English final exam.
and to be frank, i screwed up.
TAWAKAL :(
okey , back to the main idea of writing this.
i'll cut the story short, btw.
last few days, while i was walking back to my room from Roswell, i met my Malay karate-mate. she was talking to her male friends in front of her block. i said hi to her, and with the sense of courtesy, she introduced me to her friends. i said hi and joined the conversation they were having.
then, their another male malay friend came and said hi.
he offered a hand shake to each of us.
sense of courtesy
sense of courtesy
but obviously, i can't shake hands with him, right ?
so i just put my hands together in front of my face and replied his hi in a polite way.
then he went ;
" oh gosh ! i'm sorry ! i'm from America ! "
and then, his friend supported him by saying ;
"yea, the culture there is different"
and i said ; " yea , i do understand. don't worry "
i smiled, finished my conversation with my female karate-mate, and i bid them goodnight.
so , along the way, i'd been thinking about those two highlighted sentence.
"sorry, I'm from America"
well, so what with America ?!
i don't feel sorry that you are from America.
because i don't blame America.
yet i dont blame you either.
i dont know who to blame.
your parents? your teachers?
your parents? your teachers?
okey, screw the blaming thingy.
the main question here is,
why do we have to put the blame onto others ?
or other countries (in this case)?
remember the lyric in the song, awaken by maher zain?
"yes it's easy to blame everything on the west,
when in fact, all focus should be on our self "

as long as we have a strong faith,
as long as we hold the principles the Prophet had taught us,
we wont go astray, right ?
because Islam can be practiced anywhere
(even in America!)

we learnt the rights and wrongs ,
the dos' and don'ts'.
the dos' and don'ts'.
so it's about how we apply the knowledge.
knowing is just not enough.
and i even wonder ,
who will i be when i further my studies in America?
(insyaAllah)
who will i be when i further my studies in America?
(insyaAllah)
will i be like him, the I'm-from-America-guy ?
or
will i be even better in finding His blessings ?
or
will i be even better in finding His blessings ?
seriously, i have no idea.
LET FATE FAIRS ME BETTER
ameen <3
p/s: sorry for the long post.
i did cut the story short , i swear !
